The California Post Alliance (CAPA) brings together post-production creatives and professionals to champion policies that strengthen and sustain our industry in The Golden State. 

Our mission is twofold:

First, we advocate for a statewide financial incentive designed specifically to attract film and television projects to complete their post-production in California, even when principal photography takes place elsewhere. This initiative acknowledges the vital economic and cultural impact of post-production, creates revenue for California’s infrastructure, and secures California’s role as a global hub of innovation.

Second, we foster a connected and inclusive community that encourages collaboration, knowledge sharing, and education. By uniting today’s professionals and nurturing the next generation of storytellers, CAPA protects the esteemed legacy that post-production has built for over a century in the great state of California.
